Children’s Ministry

WHAT we do…

While Sunday School classes are a very important ministry at Church in the Wildwood, we believe the most important ministry happens in the home. In light of this conviction, the Children’s Ministry at CIW is composed of four parts: Sunday School classes, family worship materials to aid parents in the discipleship of their children, a memory verse program, and the Church Family Night.

WHY we do it…

The Children’s Ministry at CIW exists to aid parents in the training of their children in the Lord. Sunday School on one day of the week pales in comparison to the influence that parents have on their children through daily example and instruction (Deut. 6:4-7; Ephesians 6:4). Our desire is to come alongside parents in a supplemental fashion, providing faithful Bible teaching so that children might come to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

HOW we do it …

1. Sunday School: The curriculum is God-centered and exalts the person and work of Jesus Christ. We take a chronological approach, teaching from Genesis to Revelation.

2. Worship Supplies: We provide family worship supplies to aid parents in the Biblical instruction of their kids. Parents can review Sunday School lessons, discuss difficult concepts, use the activities for learning aids, and more.

3. Memory verse program: Children and families are encouraged to memorize weekly “fighter verses.

4. Church Family Night: Every 4’th Sunday of the month we have a fun time in an evening service reviewing what we have learned over the last month of Sunday School. People of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend.
